Taiwanese airlines announce flight adjustments for Saturday

Taipei, Aug. 7 (CNA) Taiwan-based airlines on Friday announced flight adjustments for Saturday due to Typhoon Soudelor. China Airlines said all its flights departing and arriving before 6 p.m. Saturday will be delayed until after 6 p.m., without providing a revised schedule. The airline will cancel some of its flights as well, including CI701, CI702, CI190, CI781, CI782, CI188, CI189, CI549, CI550, CI220 and CI201. Mandarin Airlines said it will call off all domestic flights, and the following overseas flights AE1819, AE1820, AE1821, AE1822, AE1831, AE282, AE283, AE1857, AE963 and AE 964. Uni Air said it will cancel all its domestic services on Saturday, while its international flights will operate as usual. TransAsia Airways said it will cancel all its domestic services and some cross-strait and international flights. The overseas flights to be canceled are GE365, GE351, GE602, GE682, GE681, GE346 and GE345. Some TransAsia flights will be delayed as well, including flights GE311, GE312, GE319, GE320, GE605, GE606, GE670, GE671, GE3605, GE3606, GE3161, GE3162, GE3685 and GE3686. EVA Airways said its flight schedule on Saturday will remain the same. According to the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, the country's main gateway, as of 5 p.m. Friday, 55 flights were canceled, including 16 outbound and 39 inbound flights. (By Lee Hsin-Yin)
