Taipei e-bus system has high degree of customer satisfaction

Taipei, Aug. 4 (CNA) The Taipei City Public Transportation Office said Tuesday that a recent survey shows that the Taipei e-bus system has achieved a 95.8 percent passenger satisfaction rating so far this year, which is much higher when compared with the 69.7 rating for 2008.
Taipei's Department of Transportation commissioned a local poll center to conduct the survey among users of the e-bus system, and drew the conclusion that in addition to the overall satisfaction rating, 96.8 percent of those polled consider the "time remaining until the next bus arrival" feature at e-bus stops to be particularly useful.
In order to enhance the convenience of public transportation, the city started to build the e-bus system in 2004 and completed the construction in 2009.
Passengers in Taipei can check the remaining time before the next bus arrives through the department's official website, phone services and third-party smartphone apps, in addition to the electronic bus stop panels. (By Huang Li-yun and Maria Tsai)
