SYDNEY (AP) -- Sydney FC has signed Slovakia forward Filip Holosko on a two-year deal.
Sydney FC chairman Scott Barlow on Monday confirmed Holosko would be joining the A-League club from Turkish giant Besiktas, where he played 144 games in eight seasons.
The 31-year-old Holosko, who has 65 international caps, will move to Sydney next month.
Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold says "Filip is a multi-functional player who can play anywhere across the front line. He comes with a top pedigree ... and brings a lot of international experience to the squad."
Dwight Yorke and Alessandro Del Piero have had playing stints at Sydney FC, which won the title in the inaugural season of the relaunched Australian league in 2005-06 and placed second last season.
