Grand Hyatt Taipei welcomes new French pastry chef

Grand Hyatt Taipei is pleased to announce the appointment of a new French pastry chef – Julien Perrinet. In his new role, chef Perrinet will oversee and be responsible for the management of the hotel’s pastry and bakery operations.

Born in 1982, Chef Perrinet began his career in gastronomy at the age of 14 as a young apprentice, and graduated with Honors from the Pastry & Bakery School St. Joseph in Concarneau, France in 2002.

In May 2015, he followed his love and passion for Taiwan by settling in at Grand Hyatt Taipei. Chef Perrinet believes that the essence and spirit of a good dessert lies in maintaining tradition while also incorporating creative presentation.

“ I look forward to fulfilling the needs and expectations of the guests by creating exciting desserts while at the same time keeping my French techniques”, said chef Perrinet.
