Going home with new immigrants

Never call them foreign brides anymore, they are Taiwanese new immigrants. Most of Taiwanese sometimes hold misunderstandings and use racist terms due to their lack of cultural knowledge about Southeast Asia. The TransAsia Sisters Association launched a Southeast Asia tour guided by the new immigrants, introducing to the Taiwanese visitors the home countries of the Southeast Asian sisters.

The Southeast Asian food stands, caregivers who take the elders to the park, the magnificent temples, and the kids on the posters who live in the refugee camp, those are the pictures that come into Taiwanese people’s mind when talking about Southeast Asia.

The new immigrant sisters are organizing a five-day trip to Udon Thani in Thailand, with the price including the flight ticket, domestic transportation, and hotels. Visa fees and personal insurance are excluded. Those who are interested in the trip are welcomed to sign up. Please call Mr. Hsieh at (02) 2921-0565.
