PALLEKELE, Sri Lanka (AP) -- Pakistan opted to bowl first after winning the toss in the third test against Sri Lanka at Pallekele on Friday.
Both teams made four changes from the second test that Sri Lanka won by seven wickets.
Sri Lanka brought in batsmen Upul Tharanga and Jehan Mubarak while playing an additional seamer. Suranga Lakmal and Nuwan Pradeep were both included. Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath was left out, paceman Dushmantha Chameera misses with a side strain and middle-order batsman Kithruwan Vithanage was dropped. Kumar Sangakkara was available only for the first two Tests.
Pakistan is without strike bowler Wahab Riaz and opener Mohammad Hafeez. It also left out seamer Junaid Khan and left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar, bringing in opener Shan Masood and seamers Rahat Ali, Imran Khan and Eshan Adil.
Sri Lanka: Kaushal Silva, Dimuth Karunaratne, Upul Tharanga, Lahiru Thirimanne, Angelo Mathews (captain), Dinesh Chandimal (wicketkeeper), Jehan Mubarak, Dhammika Prasad, Tharindu Kaushal, Suranga Lakmal and Nuwan Pradeep.
Pakistan: Ahmed Shehzad, Shan Masood, Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq (captain), Asad Shafiq, Sarfraz Ahmed (wicketkeeper), Yasir Shah, Imran Khan, Eshan Adil and Rahat Ali.
