COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) -- Sri Lanka surpassed Pakistan's meager total with seven wickets in hand on Friday as the hosts moved to 147-3 at lunch on day two of the second test at P. Sara Oval.
Resuming at 70-1, Sri Lanka went past Pakistan's 138 during a sedate opening session.
Opener Kaushal Silva was unbeaten on 64 at lunch, having faced 179 deliveries.
Former captain Kumar Sangakkara (34) was caught brilliantly at long on by Asad Shafiq off a Sulfiqar Babar delivery and vice-captain Lahiru Thirimanne survived a chance at short leg but was caught soon after in the same position for just seven.
Pakistan suffered a blow overnight when paceman Wahab Riaz was ruled out of the series due to a fractured left wrist suffered when struck by a Dushmantha Chameera delivery Thursday.
