Domestic fuel prices to fall Monday

Taipei, June 21 (CNA)
Gasoline and diesel prices in Taiwan will fall on Monday by between NT$0.2 (US$0.006) and NT$0.3 per liter following a decline in international oil prices this past week, CPC Corp., Taiwan,announced Sunday.
After the downward adjustments, the state-owned company will be selling its 92-octane, 95-octane and 98-octane unleaded gasoline for NT$25.7, NT$27.2 and NT$29.2 a liter and its premium diesel for NT$23.8 a liter.
CPC Corp. adjusts gasoline prices once a week based on changes in a weighted crude oil price index consisting of 70 percent Dubai crude and 30 percent Brent crude.
CPC Corp. said the index fell this past week by US$0.97 per barrel from the previous week to US$61.70, translating into a 1.27 percent drop in fuel prices. (By Chen Cheng-wei and Christie Chen)
