MILAN (AP) -- Michelle Obama has arrived in Milan on the second leg of a European trip that puts an international spin on her core initiatives.
The U.S. first lady will participate in a cooking demonstration Wednesday at the James Beard American Restaurant with Italian and American middle school students. On Thursday, she leads a presidential delegation to the Expo 2015 World's Fair, which focuses on food and nutrition.
The trip continues Friday with a visit to U.S. troops stationed in Vicenza. Her final stop will be Venice, where she will make cultural outings, including a visit to the award-winning U.S. Pavilion at the Venice Biennale contemporary art show.
Mrs. Obama is traveling with her teenage daughters Malia and Sasha and her mother Marian Robinson.
