Taiwan Judicial Interpreters Association holds its first meeting

Following one year of preparation, the Taiwan Judicial Interpreters Association finally made it to become a national organization, accomplishing registration as a juristic person. The first membership meeting was recently held in Taitung. With members from different countries attending the meeting in different languages, the event bore resemblance to the United Nations.

With the increasing population of new immigrants, translators of different languages were needed. The Taiwan Judicial Interpreters Association now has translators from many Southeast Asian countries, signed language, and aboriginal languages, with more than 400 members all over the world.
