Foreign-born Taiwanese gets full scores on high school entrance exam

Yang wan-ruon, a foreign born Taiwanese who wasn’t limited by her underprivileged family background, studies hard to get fall scores of the Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students with full points of Chinese writing test.

Yang’s father only had primary school education, and her mother is a Vietnamese spouse. Yang’s father wishes her to focus on school work, so every time his friends have used books to give away, he would take them home and get her daughter into the habit of reading. Yang is always on the top of her class. Upon knowing Yang’s financial situation, the teachers at school helped her to apply for a scholarship, and even paid for her to study at a cram school. In order to free the financial burden off her parents, she used the scholarship to pay for her cram school tuition. Whenever she gets stuck in class, she will try to come in to class early to ask the teachers, or senior students.

Yang’s father is aware of his daughter’s talents, but he always asks her to stay humble, and try to keep making progress in her high school life.
