MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) -- Forward Michael Walters kicked three goals to lead Fremantle to a 10.8 (68) to 7.15 (57) win over Adelaide, keeping the Dockers the only unbeaten team in the Australian Football League this season.
The close win at rain-soaked Adelaide Oval was Fremantle's ninth in a row, giving the first-place Dockers an eight-point lead over second-place Sydney.
The Swans kept pace with a 19.8 (122) to 9.8 (62) win over Carlton.
Lance Franklin kicked seven goals to lead Sydney in interim coach John Barker's first match with Carlton since replacing the fired Mick Malthouse.
Defending champions Hawthorn beat Gold Coast 14.9 (93) to 6.4 (40), the Western Bulldogs defeated Greater Western Sydney 16.17 (113) to 11.2 (68) and Port Adelaide beat Melbourne 18.7 (115) to 8.6 (54).
