Overseas students use food in cultural exchange

There are more than 300 international students at Tajen University in Pingtung County, so in order to help overseas students orientation, the university set up a Student Exchange Center and hosted the opening ceremony on May 5, 2015.

At the opening ceremony, international and local students prepared their countries' traditional foods to share with each other, and to help the public appreciate the different cultures. “Nasi Lemak is our traditional food we eat every day, like Taiwan’s rice balls, so I hope you will try it and love it,” a Malaysian student named as Chen Ze-yao said.

“In the future, we will organize more activities for international students, let them feel warm like at home,” said the Director of International Cooperation Center at Tajen University, Chen Jyun-min.
