Indonesian spouse works two jobs and becomes shop owner

An Indonesian spouse named Kan Fei-lin in Mandarin who has lived in Taiwan for 14 years fell into bankruptcy due to her husband’s illness and had to work two jobs to support the family. She even cut her expenses to NT$50 everyday to save money, but finally became a shop owner last January.

After losing her husband and the financial support, Kan started working in a breakfast shop in the morning and as maid in the afternoon. She worked over 16 hours a day, but she never complained, because she had no choice if she wanted to keep their home from being seized. One day, her daughter told her, “Mom, we will grow up soon.” This made her work even harder and finally she was able to pay for the breakfast shop and became the owner.
