Malaysian college graduate hopes to stay and work in Taiwan

Many of the foreign exchange students from Chaoyang University of Technology said they would like to stay in Taiwan after graduating from college.

A Malaysian exchange student named Lin Tze-hsi said at first she had difficulty adapting to the new life here, but fortunately, she received a lot of help from the teachers and her classmates. Now she’s not only getting used to life in Taiwan, but she has also joined many different clubs and associations. She won the championship of the badminton contest in school and joined the hiking club to pick up trash in the mountains. She also learned to play traditional Chinese two-stringed instruments and played it to the elders at the nursing home.

Another Malaysian student, Chang Jia-wen, said that she had never been to Taiwan before coming here for college, but now every type of scenery in Taiwan, no matter whether a bustling city or a beautiful sunset, or even a small food stand, make her feel like home.

Lin said she would really like to stay in Taiwan, and hopes to go to graduate school or get a job here in the future.
