NIA provides mobile internet class for new immigrants

In order to diminish the learning gap of new immigrants, the National Immigration Agency has provided a mobile learning truck painted like Doraemon to the new immigrants. The truck is equipped with folding tables and chairs, and a wireless learning environment.

NIA Taitung office partners with the Taitung employment center to offer the new immigrants a visit to the latter center and helps them understand the current employment project. NIA Taitung office indicated that the new immigrant internet educating program is designed for the new immigrants who live in rural areas. If participants reach eight in total, the mobile class will be provided near the place where they live.

Hsieh Wen-chung, the director of NIA’s southern district office, indicated that the new immigrants’ service should be provided by various offices with common programs to help the new immigrants blend into Taiwanese society.
