World-renown comfort food master Luke Sung comes to Regent Taipei

Celebrating the 25th anniversary this year, Regent Taipei has conducted a series of F&B programs to uphold its leading in hotel dining service. From May 8th to 17th, Chef Luke Sung, the world-renowned comfort food master from San Francisco will be invited to introduce his signature modern California cuisines to foodies in Taipei including seasonal crunchy salad, authentic American finger foods, well-topped bruschetta and juicy handmade cheese burger.

Chef Luke has revealed his marvelous culinary talent at the young age of 23, when he worked for Ritz Carlton in San Francisco. After three years of solid training, Sung opened a French-California fusion restaurant named Isa to convey his original cooking concepts to more customers, and was nominated by San Francisco Chronicle as the Best New Chef in the Bay Area later this year. In 2002, he becomes the first Asian and Taiwanese chef to be selected as one of the Rising Star Chefs by James Beard Award.

Using only the finest seasonal ingredients, each of Sung’s cuisines is presented with precise portion of sauce and well-categorized menu, which perfectly echoes with his “attention to details” cooking principle. Tasteful Menu includes freshly made salads, mouthwatering appetizers, and satisfying main courses, available from NT$120 to NT$550 each.

Steven Pan, the chairman of Regent Taipei, said he personally loves the Classic Cheese burger on a bun with fries, definitely a must-try for burger lovers. Guests with little appetite may order a plate of casual California snacks like Toasted almonds and Little vegetables antipasto to go with a drink.
