NEW YORK (AP) -- Hundreds of people have rallied and marched in New York and Boston to protest the death of a Baltimore man who was critically injured in police custody as Philadelphia activists prepare for their own demonstration.
At least 60 people were arrested in New York Wednesday night after protesters spilled into the streets of Manhattan, holding a die-in at Times Square and blocking some streets and a tunnel.
In Boston, activists gathered in a park behind police headquarters and continued with a peaceful march to a park.
Philadelphia protesters plan to demonstrate Thursday at city hall. They've drawn parallels between the death of a local man shot during a traffic stop and the April 19 death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore. Police say Gray died of a "significant spinal injury."
