Magnitude 5.6 earthquake hits eastern Taiwan

Taipei, April 26 (CNA) A magnitude 5.6 earthquake rocked eastern Taiwan at 4:01 a.m. Sunday, the Central Weather Bureau reported.
The earthquake's epicenter was located at sea about 83.9 kilometers east of Hualien County Hall at a depth of 16.4 km, bureau officials said. The tremor, with an intensity of 3, was felt across Taiwan. It was the latest of a string of earthquakes to hit the country. On April 20. a series of tremors jolted Taiwan, with the strongest magnitude of 6.3.
There were no reports of injuries or damage. (By Flor Wang)
