Linking the immigrants’ dreams together

Linking the immigrants’ dreams together

The National Immigration Agency is holding a “Dream Achiever Project”, encouraging new immigrants and their children to turn their dreams into written stories, with an award of NT$80,000 to help them achieve their dreams.
Hsieh Wen-chung, the director of the agency’s Southern Affairs Office, bought a bottle of chili sauce made by a Chinese immigrant who lives in Tainan to another immigrant from Indonesia who owns a beef noodles store in Chiayi. Put the two Taiwanese food items made by new immigrants together, and you link up the connections between two immigrant food lovers.
Hsieh said the NIA chief is very concerned about the new immigrants, and is trying very hard to make use of the center and of local government resources, hoping to bring better lives to the immigrants and help them pursue their dreams.
