South Korea ready to welcome more Indonesian youths

Seoul has invited more Indonesian migrant workers and youths to work or take part in internship in South Korea according to the Jakarta post.
South Korean Deputy Prime Minister Hwang Woo-Yea extended the invitation during a bilateral meeting with Vice President Jusuf Kalla in Jakarta on the sidelines of the 60th Asian-African Conference Commemoration. “South Korea is so open to Indonesian youths who want to work or undergo training there,” Kalla said.
According to Kalla some 60,000 Indonesian youths work in South Korea, especially in the technology sector. “South Korea wants more Indonesian youths there so that they can participate in the technological process there. It is hoped that after the youths master the technology, they will return to Indonesia and apply their knowledge,” he said as quoted by Antara news agency.
The two countries also discussed the potential for economic cooperation in infrastructure, manufacturing and agriculture. “Cooperation in the manufacturing industry has run smoothly. I will talk about the infrastructure and agriculture sectors with the relevant ministers after I return home,” Hwang said, adding that South Korea was also ready to cooperate in the field of education.
