SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) -- Puerto Rican officials say they've arrested two firefighters on charges of smuggling heroin and cocaine into a prison near the U.S. territory's capital.
The island's Justice Department says one of the men is accused of using a government vehicle to gain access to a prison in Bayamon on at least two occasions. He's identified as 35-year-old Aneudy Colon Dominguez. The other suspect is identified as 40-year-old Jose Manuel Fajar Marrero.
It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys.
Colon is being held on a $425,000 bond and Fajar on a $125,000 bond.
Authorities made the announcement on Tuesday.
