Magnitude 6.3 earthquake strikes eastern Taiwan

Taipei, April 20 (CNA) A magnitude 6.3 earthquake jolted eastern Taiwan at 9:42 a.m. Monday, the Central Weather Bureau said.
The earthquake's epicenter was located at sea about 76.2 kilometers east of Hualien County Hall at a depth of 18 km, bureau officials said.
The strongest tremor, with an intensity of 4, was felt in Taipei, neighboring New Taipei and the northeastern county of Yilan. Several areas in northern, eastern and central Taiwan experienced the temblor at an intensity of 3.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
