Foreign students make black tea at Sun Moon Lake

A total of 31 exchange students from National Chung Hsing University had a field trip to a tea factory located in Yuchi township, Nantou county. By uploading a tea-making video, they revealed the agricultural strength of Taiwan to the world.
The leader, Lee Tsung-ru, a professor at Chung Hsing University, said that by letting the younger generation know more about traditional agriculture, it helps build the reputation of the Sun Moon Lake black tea among different age groups, while there is the hope that the foreign students can introduce the tea agriculture in their motherland.
Hsu Cai-ching from the biotechnology department of Chung Hsing University not only took part in the tea-making process but also shot and translated the video for the foreign students. She said that uploading the video to YouTube not only makes it become a part of the students’ memory in Taiwan, but also advertises the black tea to the world.
