NEW YORK (AP) -- U.S. stocks are slightly lower as companies report earnings.
The Dow Jones industrial average slipped 29 points, or 0.2 percent, to 18,082 as of 11:50 a.m. Thursday.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index lost three points, or 0.2 percent, to 2,102. The Nasdaq composite fell five points, or 0.1 percent, to 5,004.
European stock markets also declined as worries grew over Greece's future in the euro currency union. Germany's DAX lost 2 percent.
In the U.S., Netflix soared 15 percent after announcing a surge in subscribers. Citigroup rose 2 percent after reporting stronger earnings as its legal costs fell.
The price of U.S. crude oil fell 69 cents to $55.70 a barrel in New York.
Bond prices fell slightly. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 1.91 percent.
