In this photo by Rafiq Maqbool, employees stand near the Indian navy's first Scorpene-class attack submarine at a naval vessel shipbuilding dock in Mumbai. Indian Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar and Maharashtra State Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis undocked the diesel-electric-powered submarine at Mazagon Dock on Monday. It is to go through sea trials before being cleared to join the fleet. India is building six of them in a partnership with France's DCNS, with the first set to be handed over next year.
