SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) -- A helicopter piloted by a member of Chilean President Michelle Bachelet's family is missing on an aid mission in northern Chile. Three other people also were aboard.
Chile's presidency confirmed Wednesday that pilot Pedro Pablo Aldunate is married to one of Bachelet's second cousins.
The La Tercera newspaper says the helicopter was flying from Copiapo to Chanaral with drinking water for residents of a desert region recently hit by flash-floods.
The Defense Ministry says an armed forces search and rescue team is looking for the missing helicopter.
