Taiwan to negotiate trade-in-goods pact in Beijing next week

Taipei, March 25 (CNA) Taiwan and China will begin a new round of negotiations over a trade-in-goods pact with China on March 31 in Beijing, focusing on market opening and tax concessions, a Ministry of Economic Affairs official said Wednesday. The effects of the China-South Korea Free Trade Agreement on both economies will also be discussed during the three days of negotiations, Deputy Economics Minister Cho Shih-chao (???) said. Taiwan's delegation will be headed by Yang Jen-ni (???), director of the Bureau of Foreign Trade, while it is not certain whether Chen Xing (??), director of the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau division of the Ministry of Commerce, will remain as China's representative in the negotations.
