People in China and throughout the world began their Lunar New Year celebrations last week. The Year of the Sheep, known variably as the Year of the Goat or Ram, is being celebrated during the seven-day holiday, which started last Wednesday.

The Kashmir valley received a fresh spell of rain and snowfall and the minimum temperature increased in the region. Rain and snow has disrupted travel between Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir, and Jammu, the winter capital.

Aviation companies from around the world participated in Aero India 2015, a five-day event held at Yelahanka air base in Bangalore.
