TransAsia flight delayed due to computer glitch

Taipei, Feb. 13 (CNA) A TransAsia Airways (????) flight from Osaka to Taoyuan was delayed Friday the plane detected an abnormal signal in its computer in a pre-flight check before any passengers boarded the plane. Flight GE601 was scheduled to take off at 1:25 p.m., but it ended up leaving an hour late after dealing with the problem. All 145 passengers who were ticketed on the A330 jet put up with the delay and took the flight back to Taiwan, according to TransAsia. The airline's reputation suffered a major blow last week when one of its ATR turbo-prop planes crashed in Taipei shortly after taking off from the city's Songshan Airport, leaving 43 of 58 people on board dead. But the airline said the crash has only had a limited effect on demand for its international flight services, stressing that ridership remained stable. It did not provide any load factor figures.
