LONDON (AP) -- English clubs were quiet on the final day of Europe's winter transfer window, with Crystal Palace's signing of winger Wilfried Zaha from Manchester United one of the few deals to go through on Monday.
With a few hours remaining on deadline day, Chelsea was expected to fill the gap left by Andre Schuerrle's departure to German side Wolfsburg with the signing of Colombia winger Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina.
Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella said Friday that Cuadrado was close to moving to the Premier League leaders in a deal that could see Egypt winger Mohamed Salah move in the opposite direction.
Zaha moved to Old Trafford from Palace in 2013 but made just four appearances for United. He returns to the London club on a 5?-year deal.
