Body of Malaysian climber airlifted down mountain

Taipei, Jan. 31 (CNA) The body of a Malaysian woman who died after falling into a ravine on Hsuehshan on Friday was airlifted down the mountain to Dongshi, Taichung City Saturday. A postmortem examination will be performed on the woman, identified as 42-year-old Tya Hiang Hong, police said. The accident occurred when Tya and 10 fellow mountaineers were climbing the 3,886-meter high main peak of Hsuehshan, Taiwan's second highest mountain. (By Hau Hsueh-chin and Y.F. Low)
