Taipei, Jan. 26 (CNA) The Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Committee will hold a regular meeting Jan. 29 to review the implementation of the landmark Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) and its follow-up agenda, the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) announced Monday. The SEF said in a news release that the committee meeting, the seventh of its kind, will review the follow-up agenda of ECFA, which was signed in June 2010, including the implementation of the early harvest program, and the progress of six working groups charged with discussing the agendas of the trade-in-goods and trade-in-services agreements, investment, dispute settlement, as well as industrial and customs cooperation. In addition, the two sides will exchange views on the establishment of representative offices on each side of the strait, as well as planning for the next stage of discussions. SEF Vice Chairman Shih Hui-fen (???) and Zheng Lizhong (???), vice president of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, will serve as the respective conveners of the meeting. Taiwan's top representative will be Deputy Economics Minister Cho Shih-cho (???), while China's top representative will be Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan (??). The Cross-strait Economic Cooperation Committee is a negotiation platform established in January 2011 in accordance with the ECFA to handle follow-up negotiations. Under the agreement, the committee holds a meeting every six months, with the two sides taking turns to host it. The last such meeting was held in Beijing in August 2014.
