LONDON (AP) -- England No. 8 Ben Morgan will miss the Six Nations after breaking his left leg in club rugby action with Gloucester on Friday.
Morgan was hurt in the second half of a Premiership win over Saracens, and the club offered no timetable when he might return.
"Morgan had surgery on Saturday morning," Gloucester said in a statement on its website. "He will commence an appropriate rehabilitation program for this type of injury over the coming weeks."
Morgan displaced Billy Vunipola to finish the November tests as England's first-choice No. 8. But Vunipola looks set to start again in England's Six Nations opener against Wales in Cardiff on Feb. 6.
