LONDON (AP) -- Valencia took first place in the first AP Global Football 10 poll of the year on Tuesday after ending Real Madrid's 22-game winning streak over the weekend.

Real Sociedad is second after beating Barcelona in another shock result in Spain on Sunday, and Atletico Madrid is third after beating Levante 3-1.

In the player poll, Atletico forward Antoine Griezmann topped the list after scoring two goals against Levante.

Behind Griezmann is Steven Gerrard, who scored two goals in Liverpool's FA Cup win following his announcement that he is leaving the English club at the end of the season to play in Major League Soccer.
