SYDNEY (AP) -- Australia batsman Glenn Maxwell and fast bowler Pat Cummins will have a chance to bolster their World Cup selection claims after being named to a Prime Minister's XI to play England in a one-day match on Jan. 14.
Maxwell has recently been out of form and Cummins has been battling injuries, but both now have a chance to perform for the selectors in the 50-overs match at Canberra's Manuka Oval.
The match also gives England a warm-up for its first ODI Tri Series match against Australia on Jan. 16.
Mike Hussey will captain the composite team, which also includes Papua New Guinea batsman Lega Siaka.
