MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) -- The first-place Perth Glory increased their lead to seven points on Friday with a 2-1 win over the Melbourne Victory, their closest pursuers in the A-League.
Former Ireland international Andy Keogh and Chris Harold scored within the first 16 minutes to give Perth, which hasn't lost in 10 matches, a 2-0 halftime lead. Nebojsa Marinkovic set up both goals at Geelong, about an hour's drive from Melbourne.
Besart Berisha, off a penalty, scored for the Victory in the 58th.
The Wellington Phoenix, level with the Victory in the standings, can move into outright second place with a win on Sunday over defending champion Brisbane.
