FIH Regent Group recently has announced to invite UKAI, the only Japanese restaurant continuously awarded with Michelin-star honor for seven years to set their first international branch at Silks Place Kaohsiung. Followed the path of Regent Berlin, Silks Place Kaohsiung will be the second hotel under Regent Group that provides fine Michelin-starred cuisines.

Steven Pan, the owner of Regent Group, Masaki Ukai, the chairman of UKAI and Shao Yung Tian, the General Manager of Yui- Mom Group jointly announced the news at Regent Taipei on Wednesday.

Silks Place Kaohsiung, currently under construction, is scheduled for operation in 2016. Located at the 2nd and 3rd floor of Silks Place Kaohsiung, UKAI TEI Kaohsiung is the first branch of UKAI Group that combines Grill and Teppanyaki.

As the only Teppanyaki restaurant receiving the Michelin-star honor, UKAI is known for its elegant presentation and intricate fusion cuisines. To bring in the most authentic UKAI dish and spirit to Taiwan, the chef team of UKAI TEI Kaohsiung has flied to Japan for a one-year training, and the representatives of Japan will also join the shop opening for the first half year to supervise the team.

Silks Place Kaohsiung is located at Zhongshan 2nd Rd. and Linsen 4th Rd. intersection, neighboring the 85 Sky Tower landmark and the famous shopping areas, with Kaohsiung MRT, THSR Zuoying, Kaohsiung train station, and Kaohsiung International Airport within easy reach.
