MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) -- Jarryd Roughead kicked four goals in his 200th premiership match as Hawthorn beat Sydney 15.14 (104) to 13.16 (94) to snap the Swans' 12-match winning streak in the Australian Football League.
Hawthorn trailed by 23 points in the third quarter but booted nine of the next 11 goals to take control of the 18th-round clash, possibly the match of the season so far, in front of 72,000 fans.
Roughead kicked his fourth goal 45 seconds into the final quarter and Paul Puopolo kicked his second two minutes later to give Hawthorn a 21-point lead that Sydney couldn't overcome.
Sydney remained atop the table on percentage ahead of Hawthorn and Geelong, who all have 13 wins from 17 games.
Roughead said "to kick four and get a win like that, you have to be happy."
