Jordan and Iran tie 0-0 in LG Cup

Jordan and Iran tied 0-0 Friday night in the final game of the three-team LG Cup.
The performance of the two teams, who played before about 4,000 people at King Abdullah Stadium in the Jordanian capital, lacked enthusiasm as each team failed to capitalize on goal-scoring opportunities.
Jordan's Khalid Saad lost a chance a score in the 52nd minute, while Mehdi Rajab Zadea couldn't put the ball in the net for Iran during an opportunity in the 72nd minute.
The game was the final match of the 10th annual friendly tournament held each year in the Mideast and Africa.
Iran beat Iraq 2-0 Wednesday in the first match of the two-game cup, dubbed the "peace" tournament.
