Yves Saint Laurent Slightly Hurt in Fall

Yves Saint Laurent slipped and fell Friday outside a Paris restaurant, suffering slight scratches. The legendary designer, who turned 70 in August, was resting at home after his fall.
The designer announced his retirement in 2002 and the closure of the Paris-based haute couture house he had founded 40 years earlier, a decision mourned in the fashion world as the end of an era. Saint Laurent's ready-to-wear label, Rive Gauche, which was sold to Gucci in 1999, still has boutiques around the world.
