China's current account surplus widens

China's current account surplus in the first half of this year totaled US$91.58 billion (euro71.87 billion), widening from US$67.26 billion (euro52.50 billion) in the same period a year earlier, the country's foreign exchange regulator said Friday.
The current account surplus in the January-June period was bolstered by a growing surplus in China's trade in goods, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said in a statement on its Web site.
