SYDNEY (AP) -- The New South Wales Waratahs scored two tries at the start of the second half to break out of a close struggle and to secure a four-try bonus point from a 41-13 win over the Lions in Super Rugby on Sunday.

The Waratahs took a 17-13 -- two tries to one -- lead to halftime after a first spell in which the Johannesburg Lions were fully competitive, especially at set pieces and from driving mauls.

They took control of the match in a 10 minute spell after the break when winger Rob Horne and center Adam Ashley-Cooper scored tries, boosting their lead to 31-13.

Flyhalf Bernard Foley and inside center Kurtley Beale scored first half tries and Foley finished added five conversions and two penalties to finish with 21 points.
