Propaganda is bringing hip hop to Taiwan in a style never before seen. The venue becomes a classroom as Propaganda teaches lessons and keeps the kids in their seats (when they should be) with a storyline that blends comedy with aggressive, insightful music. Propaganda shows that education isn’t only learned within the classroom, using humor and thought provoking lyrics to demonstrate the lessons learned in the school of life while showing how some people you meet may not be who they say they are. Students pay $250 total (includes one drink). Sat., Oct. 7: Brian David Phillips. Brian David Phillips has extensive experience in hypnosis and entertainment. In addition to being a dynamic communication and influence presenter as well as an extremely engaging speaker and focused trance/hypnosis trainer, he is a wonderfully entertaining stage hypnotist. His background with undergraduate and graduate degrees in communication and theatre and a natural sense of humor and comic timing serve him well as he presents an extremely entertaining program of hypnotic effects that is both fascinating and hilarious. Featuring Faye & The Slacks, and The Tourists. Donation: $200 (includes free book) Sat., Oct. 14: David Foster and Friends. A night of expert songwriting and powerful performance! David Foster has grown a loyal fan base in South Africa since recording his brilliant first album, Flat to Round and releasing it a little more than 2 years ago. Dave traveled to Taiwan a few months after recording his second album, titled “LIVE! And at home.” Two tracks from the album are at present playlisted on Taiwan’s own ICRT FM100 as well as more than ten stations in his native South Africa.
