U.S. auto parts firm lays foundation stone for new plant in Macedonia

Auto parts supplier Johnson Controls Inc. on Thursday laid the foundation stone of a new US$20 million (euro15 million) electronics plant in Macedonia.
The new plant in Bunardzik, a free economic zone outside the Macedonian capital, Skopje, is expected to start production at the end of 2007, the Milwaukee-based company said.
Some 150 new employees will be hired to assemble printed circuit boards at the plant, the company said.
Johnson Controls has 136,000 employees worldwide.
