Players from Brazilian club get into altercation with protesting fans

Players from second-division Brazilian club Coritiba fought with fans protesting the team's lackluster campaign on Wednesday.
The altercation took place at Curitiba's international airport in the morning as the team arrived from its 2-0 loss to Ceara on Tuesday.
Some of the players were upset with the protesters and began arguing with them. Then they attacked each other.
Punches were thrown and chairs were tossed across the airport's lobby, but no one was injured or arrested.
Coritiba released a statement lamenting the incident.
The loss to Ceara kept the 1985 first-division champion winless in eight matches. It is sixth in the 20-team second division. Only the top four clubs at the end of the season will gain promotion.
Coritiba was demoted last year from the first division.
