Italy loans Albania euro93.2 million for infrastructure projects

Italy on Wednesday provided Albania with a euro93.2 million (US$118.7 million) loan to help the tiny Balkan country rehabilitate improve power distribution network, build a new health facility and reconstruct a southwestern port, the Finance Ministry said.
The soft loan would also be used to finance road segment in northern Albania. The other projects include improving a hospital pavilion in Tirana and upgrading the Vlora port in southwest, according to a statement.
Neighboring Italy has been one of the main donors to post-communist Albania, one of Europe's poorest nations.
