Chiefs beat Stormers 36-20 in Super Rugby

HAMILTON, New Zealand (AP) -- The defending champion Chiefs continued their unbeaten start to the Super Rugby season on Friday with a 36-20 win over the Cape Town-based Stormers.

Center Tom Marshall, making his debut with the Chiefs, and winger James Lowe both scored tries for the Chiefs, who won their third straight game.

All Blacks scrumhalf Tawera Kerr-Barlow scored an early second half try to give the Chiefs a 24-6 lead before the Stormers rallied to 24-20 with second half tries by fullback Gio Aplon and replacement Nizaam Carr.

The Chiefs then reasserted control with late tries by Tevita Koliamatangi and flanker Tanerau Latimer, playing in his 100th Super Rugby game.
