SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) -- U.S. agents say they have arrested a 63-year-old Puerto Rico businessman on sex-trafficking charges involving a 13-year-old girl.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement accuses Wilfredo Cubero Soto of picking up the girl near her middle school and taking her to a motel in the island's southwest. The agency said Wednesday that Cubero previously contacted one of the girl's friends and asked her to recruit underage girls for sex.
Authorities allege Cubero paid the 13-year-old girl $40 at least twice for unspecified sex acts.
It was not immediately clear if Cubero has a lawyer.
