Anti-abortion voters seek presidential candidate

Anti-abortion voters seek US presidential candidate, hear from Cruz, Huckabee

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Anti-abortion lawmakers in the U.S. are urging allies to support one of their own to run for the White House.

The Susan B. Anthony List is in search of an anti-abortion crusader who has a chance at winning the Republican nomination in 2016. Several potential 2016 candidates on Wednesday were making their pitches to the group's activists and donors.

Sen. Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican who is a favorite of the conservative tea party, says supporters of abortion rights chant "Hail, Satan."

Sen. Mike Lee, a Utah Republican, says those who support abortion rights favor a "culture of death" and engage in "savagery."

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is to speak later to the group.
